WHAT EXACTLY IS NORDIC WALKING?
Nordic Walking is a sport which is performed in the open and which combines the positive effects of jogging with the advantages of cross-country skiing. Nordic Walking developed from classic walking. In Nordic Walking special sticks are used and thus it is an effective full-body training for both men and women.
Nordic Walking strengthens your muscles and your cardiovascular system and thus you effectively boost your vitality and energy level. Nordic Walking has the same effect as jogging but without harming your joints and knees!
The method is easy; still the effect is long-lasting!
NORDIC WALKING helps exercise the leg muscles, shoulder muscles, breast muscles, arm muscles and abdominal muscles while taking care of the entire musculo-skeletal system.
Moreover, NORDIC WALKING has a positive impact on the autonomic nervous system and strengthens the body's defenses. Additionally, it also has a synergetic effect on mind and soul.

Basically, Nordic Walking is easy to learn as everyone is capable of the basic movements, namely walking and running.
It is not obligatory to attend a Nordic Walking course but undoubtedly it is quite useful if you want to make full use of your Nordic Walking equipment. In a course you will learn what you have to pay attention to when moving, how to avoid false postures and how to best profit from walking.

A sauna visit has a positive effect on your cardiovascular system, especially with low blood pressure. Plus it increases your fitness.
To increase the positive effects, sauna visits should be planned regularly:
once a week is enough, two or three times a week has no bad effects.
- during a sauna visit the bronchial tubes relax and asthmatics can breath better.
- the change of cold water treatments and warm foot baths strengthens the walls of the veins
- a sauna visit increases the blood circulation and cleanses the skin - when suffering from acne
- if you have a high blood pressure you can visit the sauna. Through the heat the arterial blood vessels are expanded. But when suffering from cardiac flutter: do NOT go into the sauna!
